I came to the Department of Psychology UCPH in March 2014, where I also obtained my Psychology degree in 2001. Prior to this, I have, after my PhD at the Danish University of Education, been employed at several other Danish universities. I am part of two research groups: PCARe (Psychological Cross-disciplinary and Applied Research ( and I coordinate the new PsychMeasure group  ( ). Previously I co-founded the PsychMeasure group at the University of Southern Denmark, now known as Measurement Lab. I'm also member of as well as a number of research and teaching interest groups including European Rasch Teaching Group (ERTG), an International Rasch discussion group (Matilda Bay), International Study Association for Teachers and Teaching (ISATT), European Association for Research in Teaching and Learning (EARLI), and more.    

My main research interests are two-fold: (Higher)Educational Psychology, particularly; cognitive styles and strategies, motivation, self-efficacy, student and teacher learning, and the relationship between what has recently been termed non-cognitive skills and the learning process and outcomes. Applied Psychometrics, particularly development, adaptation and translation of psychological measurement scales for use in various psychological and other disciplines.
