My PhD project consist of a feasibility study evaluating the implementation of the Video-feedback Intervention to promote Positive Parenting and Sensitive Discipline (VIPP-SD) within Danish daycare settings. In this context, childcare providers administer the program directly within the homes of families with children identified to be at risk for externalizing problems. Through qualitative research, we aim to explore the perspectives of both parents and childcare providers, identifying key factors influencing implementation and positive outcomes. Employing a mixed-method approach, including interviews and surveys, our study seeks to bridge the gap between research and practice by examining the feasibility and perceived effectiveness of a home-based parenting intervention facilitated by daycare staff. The research project offers valuable insights into parental experiences with VIPP-SD and explores the potential for fostering close collaboration between childcare providers and families to support child development.
